Dear Friend,

The Democrats have been mighty busy since they took over on Capitol Hill last year.

They've tried to raise just about every single tax you can think of: Income taxes, taxes on married couples, taxes on parents with children, taxes on homeowners, energy taxes, cigarette taxes, cigar taxes, gasoline taxes, taxes on health insurance plans, taxes on entrepreneurs, taxes on companies large and small, even taxes on you after you're dead.

I've opposed every single one of these tax increases and because of my votes against all of the tax increases they've passed - sometimes by the thinnest of margins - the Democrats are especially targeting me this year.

Presidential election years are always tough and competitive in Central Florida. Liberal challengers have come after me in the past because of my strong pro-life voting record and my support for your Second Amendment rights.

But thanks to friends like you, I’m confident that by working hard and running on my strong conservative record, we’ll once again prevail in 2008.
